Spindrift: Games I’m Excited to Play

There’s a lot of games coming out over the next couple of months that have peaked my interest. I wanted to give my opinion on a few of them.

Battleborn: Gearbox’s new game, battleborn, is best explained as a mesh of many different game genres. At it’s core it’s a first person shooter with unique graphics and a multitude of interesting characters. I gad a chance to play the beta and I have nothing but good to say about it. The solid gameplay mixed with funny comedy and creativity make it a memorable experience. Every character was different in their playstyle and the leveling system can make your experience as a character much different than someone else’s. The single player is lengthy ad has many interesting boss battles memorable opponents, like a giant robot who thinks he’s a spider. A friend of mine and myself played on the highest difficulty and it was a fun challenge. I can’t wait to see how I turns out when the full game is out.

Overwatch: I’ve never been a huge player of Blizzard games, mainly because I don’t play on PC, but I can’t wait to get my hands on Overwatch. Along with Battleborn Overwatch has a cast of unique characters. As many people say Overwatch is like Team Fortress 2 on cocaine. I’ve played a total of about 3 minutes of Team Fortress 2 in my life so that comparison doesn’t resonate with me, but I’m still eager to play. Although there is no single player there is a plot for those who search for it. I can see myself playing a lot of this one in the future, and the promise of free DLC will make it last a while.

Gears of War 4: This is another beta that I’ve been playing. Gears of War is one of my all time favorite game series and Gears of War 4 is just increasing my love for it. With new enemies, weapons, and a 30-year time span I think it will be unique while still staying true to it’s predecessors. I’ve been enjoying the multiplayer immensely, and the new game modes are genius. Dodgeball is definitely my favorite and adds a very interesting aspect to multiplayer. I can’t wait to see what memories I make on this new addition to the Gears franchise.
