E3 is an important time for many gamers and this year was no exception. I watched most of the conferences but keep in mind that I haven’t seen everything. Also, I don’t have a PS4 so if you see a lack of PS4 games, that’s why.
Sea of Thieves: I’ve been interested in this game since it was first announced. Rare makes great games and Sea of Thieves seems like their most promising one yet. I can see it being a game that a play a ton with friends. I loved the sea battles in Assassins Creed: Black Flag, so I’m hoping that this game improves on that. As long as the world is vast and interesting Sea of Thieves should be a great title.
Battlefield 1: Going back in time to World War I was a good decision, for the Battlefield series. It will feel fresh compared to all the futuristic games that we see coming out today. The graphics are impressive and I couldn’t help myself from re-watching the trailer over and over again. The sound of soldiers yelling commands in a tank to the intense horse and train chase left me with an adrenaline rush. I think this could be the most promising FPS to come out this year.
Project Scorpio: I was truly surprised at this announcement. A new Xbox that’s supposedly the strongest console out there should excite anyone. 4k gameplay combined with virtual reality sounds like magic. I just hope that it’s as good as it sounds.
Death Stranding: Even though I don’t have a PS4 it was impossible for me not to love this trailer. It’s so enduring and I’m not even sure what the hell it is. I hope the game is as good as the trailer because if it is I could see it being one of my favorite games of all time. I’m relatively sure it’s some kind of horror game although I’m speculative. Even if you don’t play videogames I would suggest watching the trailer just as a piece of art.
There’s plenty of other games that I’m excited for but I just don’t have enough to say about them. What were your favorite parts of E3?
Thanks for reading.
