Some big news was announced today for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies!<\/p>\n

The extended version of the movie will be rated R!<\/p>\n

We have never had this high of a rating on a movie based in Middle Earth and I\u2019m super excited to see why this one earned it. If I had to guess I think that the movie will be gorier and the death scenes may be more gruesome. The extended edition of the movie will even be played in theaters, October 5 and the Blu-Ray\u00a0will come out sometime in November. There will also be nine hours (!) of extras that I can\u2019t wait to see.<\/p>\n

I just hope the movie isn\u2019t rated R because we\u2019re going to get a glimpse of Gandalf\u2019s ‘staff’ or Thorin\u2019s ‘oakenshield.’<\/p>\n

On a more serious note this news is actually very good knowing that Warner Brothers won\u2019t filter the movie in order for all audiences to watch it.<\/p>\n
